The Yarrabilba Family Place is a dynamic new Family and Community Centre designed for the Queensland Government Department of State Development.

The community hub was purpose built to support the growth and development of the thriving Yarrabilba and Logan River communities, with a special emphasis on Early Childhood health and development. The hub comprises of multiple spaces including meeting rooms, consulting rooms, reading nooks, outdoor play areas, playrooms, health clinical rooms and changing facilities.

The design and documentation for the community hub was completed by 8i Architects in just three weeks and the community hub was built within nine months of its inception!

8i Architects

8i Architects is a Brisbane based architectural design practice specialising in innovative, functional and sustainable design solutions. Our focus is on design excellence, providing quality spaces that are unique to the site and the client’s needs.

I have worked with Charmaine, Hieu and the team at 8i Architects for the past 6 years. I can honestly say that if you want no nonsense, non-ego based, well thought through and sensible architecture then let 8i manage your project for you.

In my opinion 8i are big enough to handle projects up to the value of around $100m but small enough to provide the level of service that you won't get from the larger architectural firms who will give your project to a junior architect to manage.
