North Lakes Day Hospital

Name: North Lakes Day Hospital

Date: 04-Jun-2010

Client: Chatham Property Projects

Builder: Constructions Group (formerly Ray White Constructions)

Category: Commercial, Medical

Description:

Purpose built Day Hospital located on a 2200m² site at North Lakes. This facility was a standalone extension to an earlier medical centre (Lakelands Medical Centre) which was also completed by 8i Architects a few years earlier. The vehicular and pedestrian connection between the two facilities had opened up opportunities for the two sites, that would not have been possible if they were both standalone centres.

The Day Hospital building provides 1340m² of floor area, that consists of the Day Hospital on the first floor and consulting suites, My IVF (formerly Monash IVF) and Sullivan Nicolades Pathology facility on the ground floor.

North Lakes Day Hospital needed to provide high quality accommodations to Montserrat Day Hospitals as the anchor tenant. This was to be a prominent means of advertising Montserrat's expansion to their own patients and attracting new medical specialists to use their operating theatres on a regular basis.

Testimonials

I have worked with Charmaine, Hieu and the team at 8i Architects for the past 6 years. I can honestly say that if you want no nonsense, non-ego based, well thought through and sensible architecture then let 8i manage your project for you.

In my opinion 8i are big enough to handle projects up to the value of around $100m but small enough to provide the level of service that you won't get from the larger architectural firms who will give your project to a junior architect to manage.
